Hannah Doyle has translated a novel by Marc Levy, due to be published in spring 2021. As well as keeping busy with her translation projects, she is a writer and author and is currently editing her first novel. She is represented by Janklow & Nesbit, and is actively seeking inspiring French-language novels to translate into English.
The industry is awash with translators and agencies promising flawless text, quick turnaround times and flowing sentences. We do all of that. What you'll also enjoy with us is the added benefit of a close-knit family of bilingual creatives and academics working in harmony to deliver the goods. We only work into English from French. We have complete faith in our abilities to understand the source text, to produce incisive, relevant copy that matches the original in content while hitting the right notes in style and form, and to proof the final version with our high-tech flaw-finding scanner eyes. And because we keep it in the family, we aren't afraid to tell it like it is, run chunky red lines through whole swathes of text, or make inconvenient emergency phone calls to ask that Netflix be turned off and a translation re-worked.
We focus on all fields that require a bit of a kick, from fashion, cosmetics and luxury goods to art and design, tourism, hospitality, food and high-brow literature. The Cannes Film Festival, Yves Rocher and Eurostar’s Metropolitan Magazine are just some of our recurring projects, and we’re proud of them. Think of us as the Sriracha sauce drizzled over the chicken breast of your French copy, the cinnamon syrup in your word latte, the dip to your texty nachos.
If you're in need of copy so slick you could throw a circular frame around it and call it an ice rink, we've got you covered. We'll sit down with you, get to grips with your concept, style, direction and audience, and whip up a few ideas in our Kitchen of Innovation*. We'll take all the time needed to get the pitch right before launching into a whirlwind of writing activity, producing straplines, blurb, presentations, brochures and website copy. Much of our work involves straightforward copywriting, but we are increasingly seeing demand for fiction and poetry both humorous and epic. We’ve been asked to produce entire 50-chapter stories as part of a marketing campaign, and we’ve also crafted custom-made poems to be incorporated into corporate advertising.
Whether you want clean and classic wholesome bread-and-butter copy or something a little unusual and creative, we’ll adapt our tone and form to get you what you need. From simple, streamlined website and brochure blurb to eccentric ditties, inspired imaginings and fairy-tales delivered whole or in batches, get in touch and let’s talk your ideas through.

Portfolios of our translation, copy and storytelling work are available upon request, as are references and CVs.
Although qualified, experienced professionals, we don't believe in charging crazy rates just because we can. Our aim is to live comfortably from our work and to focus on projects that get us dreaming. Translations are priced by source word, while copy, stories and poetry are priced by the project. With each request being different in complexity and turnaround time, it's impossible for us to give you an immediate quote. Get in touch, send us an email with your source documents or ideas, and let's talk. Our prices are accessible, affordable and won’t leave you picking your jaw up off the ground.
We come from multilingual and entrepreneurial stock: the perfect combination when your goal is to promote your business in another language.
